WHICH LANGUAGES ARE AVAILABLE?
English speakers can follow courses in Dutch, German, French, and
Spanish. We introduce our method by means of a free trial lesson in the
language laboratory. If there is prior knowledge of the target language,
the appropriate starting point in the course will be determined during
this trial lesson.
WHAT IS THE OBJECTIVE OF THE COURSE?
By the end of the beginner’s course, students should be able to participate actively in everyday conversation. In each lesson, a number of new words are introduced which are later applied in sentences to given contexts. By listening, pronouncing, and repeating words and sentences, students learn to use these words and structures correctly. Although some preparation and homework is required, there is no requirement to study formal grammar or linguistic theory. Our key to unlocking a language is: speak it! If increased knowledge within a specific field is required, advanced courses are available.
HOW ARE THE COURSES GIVEN?
The course for beginners is given in the language laboratory. Each student has an individual desk, and a headset which is connected to the teacher’s position. By operating the cassettes, each student can proceed through the lesson at their own pace. Each lesson ends with a monitoring test by the teacher. The advanced courses are given by means of private lessons with a teacher. Intermediate level courses which combine language laboratory lessons with private lessons are also available.
